Sibu Kidney Foundation is an independent, non-profit, charitable organisation.

The aims of SKF are to help people in Sibu Division who suffer from end-stage renal failure through the provision of subsidized and affordable dialysis treatment; patient development services; and public education on kidney diseases, dialysis treatment and transplantations.

It is totally dependent upon public donations and support to run its programmes,

In order to carry out its aims of providing subsidized dialysis treatment, SKF carries out the following fund raising activities:-

1. Appeal Letters
2. Recruiting Regular Donors
3. Festive Appeal
4. Collection of Used Aluminium Cans, Oid Newspapers/Plastics/Paper Boxes
5. Donation Boxes
6. RM1 Regular Donors’ Campaign
7. Donation received from families of the deceased
8. Blood Tests Campaigns

As part of its objectives, SKF regularly carries out public awareness campaigns to educate the public in Sibu about kidney diseases, causes and the prevention of kidney diseases.

  • To help Sibu People who suffer from “End Stage Renal Disease” through the provision of subsidized, affordable and quality dialysis treatments.
  • To provide patient development services, as well as health screenings, consultations and public health education on kidney diseases, dialysis treatments and kidney transplantation.
  • To create public awareness on kidney diseases and kidney failure.
  • To collect, compile and disseminate information pertaining causes, prevention and available aids to combat kidney diseases, and to carry on a vigorous general public education programme within this field.
  • To promote organ donation.
